UNESCO World Heritages Sites of Nepal 

The small mountain kingdom of Nepal is blessed with such astonishing and unique sites that within the area of 147, 181 sq km Nepal holds a considerably high number of places recognized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organization) as ‘World Heritage Sites’. Indra Jatra

Indra Jatra is a gala festival celebrated in the capital city of Kathmandu. This is a festival of the Hindus and the Buddhists and continues for a period of seven days. The festival celebrations takes place around Hanuman dhoka while the events are held on the Basantapur Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal. Tansen, Palpa

Tansen was the capital of the Magar kingdom Tanahun, one of the most powerful regional principalities before the rise of the Shah dynasty. It even came close to conquering Katmandu in the 16th century under the leadership of Mukunda Sen. Local Magar kings lost influence in the 18th century and Tansen became a Newari bazaar on the important trade route between India and Tibet via the Kaligandaki River and Mustang. Because it was a district administrative center of the Kingdom of Nepal, Maoists targeted Tansen several times during the Nepalese Civil War, including a major assault on the historic Durbar (palace) compound in 2006. Read more…

SwoyambhuNath Stupa 

Swoyambhunath stupa is one of the famous heritage that dates back to earlier 5th century. According to legends, Swayambhu stupa is self created. Its origination is quite a miracle in world’s history. A Buddhist follower planted a lotus on the lake. Later on, Manjushree, one of the buddhist deity made a george from where water drained, thus creating a valley named Kathmandu. Namobuddha 

Up above the hill, far from city, noise and pollution lies a place enriched with beauty, blessed by holy spirits and memory of great buddhist ancestors. The landscape down the valley resembles an eight-petaled lotus, and the sky above forms a shape of wheel with nine spokes. Existence of Stupa is quite a miracle. In ancient days, a royal family(King, Queen and 3 princes)  left the town for a relaxing time in the country and  arrived at a place of thickly wooded forests.

Heavenly Trekking

Trekking simply means a journey on foot. There are numerous number himalayan routes famous for attracting a large numer of trekkers. The popular trekking regions in Nepal are Annapurna, Langtang and Mount Everest. It is considered as the most traditional trek in Annapurna region. The main adventure in this region is crossing over 5416m and a trekking distance of 197 km thus demanding more excercise and more excitement. One can have panoramic sceneries of Himalayas including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt.
